The kiddies may be out for the summer but Ciate’s new Chalkboard Manicure isn’t done with the school year. The matte effect may not be new, and clearly not going anywhere, but the addition of the mini-chalk pens brings it right back to the forefront! Created by Ciaté’s Founder and Creative Director, Charlotte Knight, the new collection was made to bring out our inner kid – and what better time for it than over the summer? (Sleepaway camp anyone!?)
This week, I tried out two polishes I got in my gift bag from Channing’s party- CND Effects in silver and an NCLA color in ‘Hello, I Love You’. The NCLA is a really cute pinkish-purple, but it finished a little more dull than I’m used to. Definitely needs a top coat (I’d do Essie’s Let It Shine to get it really shiny) and the CND gave the perfect amount of glitz.
I know I’m posting a little late guys, but having two teeth pulled and trying to blog after was just a futile mission. Now that my pain killers have kicked in though, I’ve pulled it together! So last week, on some random spontaneous whim, I got acrylic french tips. I’ve always liked french manicures and since my nails have had a habit of growing a little bit but breaking a lot I decided to give them a rest and go for the tips. Now as a kid I wasn’t allowed to get tips so this is actually the third time in my life I’ve ever gotten them and the first time in two years.
