I’ve been sort of obsessed with hair care products this year, and determined to figure out how to blow-out my own hair. So on my last trip to Walgreens I came across the Conair 2-in-1 Hot Air Brush. It reminded me of the Instyler that I was debating trying, but it’s less than half the price. So for $26 I figure I’ll try it out and either love it or worst case scenario I can return it or give it away.
Let’s just say the hot air brush left much to be desired for my texture hair anyway. It comes with two interchangeable brushes: one is 1 inch wide with bristles like a normal brush and the other is slightly bigger with hard plastic bristles. Their both set on metal hardware which I’m sure is done to keep the heat evenly flowing, and the heat goes from 125 to 250 degrees with a HI and LO setting. However the HI setting is only accessible at 125 degrees, if you turn up the heat any higher (which isn’t easy without a flathead screwdriver- because I usually keep flathead screwdrivers next to my hair appliances smh) the brush locks into the LO position. I guess it’s Conair’s way of trying to protect our hair from heat damage? Which I guess I appreciate but it ended up not too helpful for straightening my hair. I didn’t want to flat iron it so after two hours of playing with it I finally gave up, looking like an unloved bush baby 😦
