If you’ve been looking for the perfect 4th of July nail art to do for the weekend…join the club! Of course I have a few favorites (found on Pinterest of course), but choosing one is proving a bit difficult. And choosing one that I can feasibly do is even harder! Obviously the Captain America-inspired manis made the top of the list!

Since I can’t decide on a design, I’m leaving it all up to you. Enter below for a chance to win this Julep Summer Goody Box, including their Independence Day-inspired color, America! And since it won’t be the 4th of July forever, there’s a few other goodies to enjoy as well: included in the box is Natasha and Abbie, two vibrant tones that are perfect for summer and a Pomegranate Body Creme! Good luck!!
It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since we first opened Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, but alas it has. (God I feel old!) So in honor of Harry Potter’s anniversary, author and illustrator Kazu Kibuishi has illustrated new covers for each of the seven best-selling tomes to be released on August 27th. Unfortunately they’ll only be released in paperback version, for now at least, but they will come as a boxed set available here. Kibuishi is also a comic book lover! The Eisner-nominated author created the #1 New York Times bestselling Amulet graphic novel series, as well as Copper, the Flight Anthologies and Daisy Kutter: The Last Train.
Take a look at all 7 of the new covers, in contrast to the originals:

I really like the new illustrations, just looking at these makes me wonder what the back and inside illustrations might look like! But what do you think, do the new illustrations do the saga justice? Will you add the new books to your collection or are you sticking with the old? The boxed set is available via Amazon.com here
Today, and this whole weekend for that matter, is going to be LEGEND- …wait for it…
While we’re waiting:
It’s My Birthday! (I’m 25 today, which makes me feel a little old but completely awesome!)
Aww thank you Ryan, you’re so sweet!
It’s Star Wars Day!! Not only do you get to tell everyone “May the 4th be with you” all day long, there’s a bunch of awesomeness that goes along with it being Star Wars Day. Like BN.com having all sorts of Star Wars book on sale…well does it still count as a sale if they’re free!? In any case, go read!
It’s Free Comic Book Day: And who doesn’t like free stuff? Check here for your local participating stores!
Iron Man 3 came out yesterday! We saw it, loved it and plan to see it again! (Pepper Pots finally gets some action!)
It’s My Birthday!
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo- time for some more Patron!
I don’t always do magic, but when I do I use Tequila!
7. Tomorrow is also Sith day! (Revenge of the Fifth) So for those of you who have fallen or (or just vacation on) the dark side, we’re celebrating your awesomeness too!
There’s a big wedding coming up! (And no I don’t mean the eventual KimYe wedding) The creator of the Force, George Lucas and his girlfriend of seven years, Mellody Hobson have announced their engagement! The two are almost 20 years apart, with Lucas being 68 and Hobson being 43, but they look so cute together! Hobson is a businesswoman and sits on the board of directors for a number of brands, including Starbucks, Estee Lauder, Groupon and Dreamworks (so I sufficiently feel like I’ve done nothing with my life now!)
X-Men, Vol. 1 (Marvel Masterworks): As I continue to grow my comic collection one thing remains, I miss the old ones! So instead of scouring Midtown Comics for vintage copies why not just get the book?
